The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is a non-profit national environmental advocacy organization with more than 1.3 million members and online activists. We have offices in New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Beijing. Our staff of nearly 400 includes lawyers, scientists, policy analysts and educators working to protect the environment and public health. Position Summary: NRDC seeks a Program Assistant to work in its Washington, D.C. office. The Program Assistant will provide administrative support to the Director of Global Strategy and Advocacy and the Director of Climate Programs. The successful candidate must have good problem solving skills and be able to handle administrative tasks such as: scheduling and coordinating meetings, preparing materials , processing expenses, booking travel, and handling phone calls,. There is the potential for some research needs as well. Required Skills
