Description

 Data Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a data specialist to work across a global organisation that is working at the forefront of responsible sourcing and production of agricultural commodities around the world.

You will be part of the data team of Proforest Europe, supporting colleagues in Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America, who work across client projects, training and capacity building, internal knowledge sharing and reporting. For most clients we were working with data to analyse risks within agricultural commodity supply chains to inform decision-making around responsible sourcing and responsible production.

In addition to an expertise as a data specialist, the ideal candidate will have a keen interest or basic knowledge of agricultural commodity production or broader sustainability issues.

About Proforest

Proforest focuses on the production base and supply chains of agricultural and forestry commodities including soy, sugar, rubber, palm oil, cocoa, coconut, beef and timber. We have more than twenty years of practical experience in supporting companies, governments, communities and partners, to establish responsible production and sourcing practices in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe and North America.   We support companies with direct action to tackle environmental and social risks throughout a supply chain. We also work with governments, companies, and collaborative organisations, in order to address systemic issues beyond the supply chain, within a landscape or a sector. In all our work we bring expertise in environmental and social issues to deliver positive outcomes for the people, nature and climate.
