Description

South Cambridgeshire District and Cambridge City Councils have run a successful joint service operation since November 2016, with a single management and delivery team serving the two districts’ 116,000 homes from a single depot in Waterbeach. With a joint workforce, fleet and support functions, the fully integrated operation will deliver significant efficiencies, better customer service and commercial development opportunities for both councils.

Working from our modern Waterbeach depot, our 3 teams (Operations, Commercial, and Policy, Change and Innovation) work together to meet the needs of our customers and drive improvements in everything we do.

It is a great time to join us as we continue to change how we operate across the districts and deliver new and exciting projects.

Data is key to all of our work, making our operations efficient, showing our performance, and guiding our efforts in project work.

We are now recruiting for a Data Analyst to join our team and we are looking for someone who has extensive data experience and confident IT skills.

As Data Analyst you will be managing a small team and you will lead on the production, maintenance, analysis and modelling of business and operational data for the service. You will work with colleagues to use the information we gather to plan service improvements for residents and drive profitability in our commercial business.

You may have some background in waste and recycling, but that this is not essential. What is important is an ability to learn new systems and translate experience from elsewhere to bring benefits to our service. This will require technical skills and a project management approach, but also the ability to translate the detail to a wider non-specialist audience and work as part of a diverse team.

For more information about this opportunity, the working environment and additional benefits, please contact Jane Hunt, Interim Head of Waste and Recycling on 07710 761 902
