About you

We’re looking for people who get stuck in and make things happen; the team players and future leaders with exceptional drive, creativity and interpersonal skills. It’s essential that you’re highly organised and able to manage your time effectively. You’ll have proven account management and customer service experience and be comfortable in a wide range of commercial situations, ideally within a waste and recycling environment. The ability to deliver engaging and technical information to a wide-ranging audience is essential. A higher education qualification or degree is preferable but not essential.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Adviser to join GENeco. The post will be based at Avonmouth and is very varied, which will see you work within the recycling and waste treatment areas of the company. All elements of our business interact, so you will be working with colleagues across GENeco.

Core activities will focus on customer interactions, account management and contract administration, requiring application of data analysis skills and business acumen. You’ll be managing customer enquiries from start to finish and be responsible for specific account management. This is matched by a need to be compliant with environmental legislation, which involves scientific and quantitative analysis of our processes and waste streams.

In addition, there will be opportunities to support work relating to the different departments within the GENeco business. Examples of previous projects include marketing the world-famous ‘Bio-Bus’, running operational trials and developing an innovative composting process.
