Country Director, Equatorial Guinea

The Country Director for Equatorial Guinea (EG) is responsible for managing the program and all its component projects, leading an in-country team, raising funds and managing financial and other resources.  He/she represents CI in Equatorial Guinea and has a key role in building alliances, which are central to CI’s Conservation strategy, and in ensuring that CI’s programs are truly multi-disciplinary, with a sound scientific base.  He/she also ensures that the program forms an integral part of the organization goals and is well connected to CI headquarters-based technical and administrative capacity. The Country Director is part of the Africa and Madagascar Field Division and will report to the Senior Director for the Central Africa Program. Because the national language of EG is Spanish, the successful candidate will need to be competent in Spanish orally and in written form. Because the region contains many French speaking countries, a good working knowledge of French (at least orally) will also be preferred
