A leading manufacturer and retailer is now looking for a CR professional. The main purpose of the role is as follows:
? Audit and monitor factories against the Company Ethical Trading Policy and national, local labour laws in EMEA region.
? Assess the factories understanding of the policy and help factory management to improve the working conditions.
? Ensure appropriate actions are taken in timely manner.
? Seek for brand collaboration and capacity building opportunities whenever appropriate.
? Update headquarters with country related ethical trading, and intellectual property risks.
? Ensure audit/ training coverage for the region
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct announced and unannounced Ethical Trading audits in factories.
• Engage factory management and Company internal business partners to ensure factory compliance.
• Support team assessment to detect and overcome any ethical risks in relevant countries.
• Issue communications of non-compliance to Vendors and factories with requests and guidance for correction.
• Record non-compliances in the company database in timely manner
• Support team to research & benchmark industry programmes and understand stakeholder expectations to ensure relevance of approach in country.
• Develop and maintain key industry contacts to support collaboration, especially among brands.
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelors degree in a related field; advanced degree a plus
? CSR and/or social/labour and/or environmental or health safety audit experience
? Experience with factory operations, auditing, and remediation
? Written and verbal fluency in English
? High degree of proficiency with pc applications and/or reporting tools
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Sensitive to cultural differences country/region coverage.
? Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
? Sense of urgency when business dictates the need
? Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
? Ability to travel 30-50%  50-75% of time.
? Additional language skills a plus
