Corporate Partnerships Manager - CDP North America

 

CDP is looking for a corporate partnerships manager to join the corporate development team. The team is responsible for attracting and maintaining a diverse range of commercial businesses that align with CDP’s mission.

The post of corporate partnerships manager is focused on managing a small number of partners, alongside supporting other staff members responsible for partnerships nationally and working on implementing new fundraising projects. The role will support the growth and impact of CDP and enable us to advance our mission. The successful candidate will be based in CDP’s office in Manhattan and work closely with our offices around the world, especially the UK.

Key responsibilities

  • Relationship management of some CDP corporate partners;
  • Responsibility for some commercial data sales and exploring opportunities for new partnerships;
  • Internet-based research including researching potential CDP corporate partners;
  • Updating and maintaining a funding database;
  • Project management of webinars and existing partnership initiatives; and
  • Supporting the implementation of new CDP fundraising projects.

Key requirements

  • Proven success in providing effective administrative support;
  • Experience of building and managing relationships;
  • Fundraising / revenue generation track record a bonus;
  • An understanding of business and commercial organizations;
  • Highly organized and efficient;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent project management skills;
  • Ability to build relationships and rapport with people at all levels;
  • Self motivated, with the ability to organize own work, set priorities, meet deadlines and follow up on assignments;
  • A good team player with the ability to work with colleagues around the world;
  • Willingness to look for new business and develop potential new partnerships;
  • Interest in using and maintaining data and databases;
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook; and
  • Some understanding of the environmental market would be useful.

The role is full time: 40 hours a week Monday to Friday at our offices in Soho, New York although some home working may also be possible.
