Description

The post of corporate partnerships fundraiser is focused on generating funding from a range of sources to support the global growth and impact of CDP and to enable us to advance our mission. The successful candidate will be based in CDP’s London Headquarters and work closely with our offices around the world.

The key task will be securing revenue from commercial companies as part of a corporate partnership with CDP. Please visit the ‘Our Network’ section of the website to review our various service partnership programs.

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser/sales person, who is able to work autonomously and within a small team. 

Main responsibilities

  • Responsibility for identifying and developing new funding relationships and raising commercial funds for CDP
  • Relationship management of some CDP corporate partners
  • Working closely with our broader fundraising team to maximise funding efforts globally

Main requirements

  • Strong fundraising / revenue generation track record
  • Tenacious and not afraid to make lots of phone calls
  • Ability to build relationships from scratch and develop into large scale  funding partnerships
  • Strong capacity for relationship growth and management
  • Highly organised and efficient at planning
  • Strong understanding of business and commercial organisations
  • Well networked in the UK or European sustainability world a bonus
  • Ability to represent CDP at high level meetings
  • Ability to distil complex ideas into clear concise and compelling proposals
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Excellent organizational / project management skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Self motivated, with the ability to organize own work, set priorities, meet deadlines and follow up on assignments 
  • Some understanding of the environmental market would be useful
  • Good understanding of outlook, word, excel etc
