Cornwall Energy provides informed, independent energy market analysis and advice for market participants, service providers and policy makers.  We ensure companies keep up to date with developments in fast moving markets and interpret what they mean for their competitive and regulatory strategies. 

As a small business ourselves, we understand the particular pressures and aspirations of new entrants and niche players, but we are just as comfortable assimilating the drivers on larger, established players too.

We are experienced at advising policy makers and regulators on key market issues and at helping companies make their cases as well.  We are also familiar with designing and implementing market reform programmes with extensive experience around the world in five continents. At the same time we understand how important it is to account for local factors in these complex processes.

Our customer base includes energy stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds, including network operators, gas producers, electricity developers and generators large and small, energy suppliers, commercial and legal practices, consumers and their representatives.  We offer market intelligence services and bespoke consultancy services concerning operational, commercial and regulatory issues.

Our staff are acknowledged experts in their fields. Nigel Cornwall is an active, independent panel member of the Balancing and Settlement Code Panel and has also fulfilled a similar role on the Connection and Use of System Code (Cusc) Panel. One of our associates is presently a Cusc Panel member, and we engage in the policy development forums with regard to distribution, commercial and technical development, as well as energy and transmission.
