Description

We currently have a new Controller opportunity, based in Framingham, MA. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead, direct, and grow the Accounting and Finance function in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and policies.
Manage Accounting and Finance operations, including general ledger; accounts payable and
receivables; tax; insurance; treasury and cash management; internal controls and financial planning, budgeting, and reporting activities.
Coordinate timely periodic and annual financial closings and oversee the preparation of Company
operating statements and related reports.
Perform comprehensive analysis of financial statements for accuracy and provide recommendations to achieve short and long term business objectives.
Monitor, update, and maintain internal accounting processes, controls, and systems to ensure
complete, accurate, and timely reporting, audit, and compliance.
Coordinate Accounting/ Finance relationships with external audit and legal firms, regulatory agencies, and third parties.
Manage and develop the Accounting and Finance Team: recruit, hire, train, mentor, and evaluate
employees.
Collaborate with CFO to address key financial and operational factors, provide project assistance,
and drive positive results through analysis, execution, cross-functional teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Plan, budget, schedule, and track resources in accordance with business plan objectives.
Foster positive and effective business relationships with all parties.
Perform other duties as required.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor Degree and Professional Designation (CPA, CMA, other Accounting/Finance related).
17-20 years progressive Accounting and Finance leadership experience, preferably within a large
expanding public company providing energy-related engineering and construction services.
Minimum 3-5 years major public accounting firm experience.
Demonstrated business acumen with superior numeric, analytical, problem-solving, financial reporting skills and abilities.
Excellent verbal, written, computer, and financial data communication and presentation skills.
Extensive knowledge and experience in GAAP revenue recognition, SOX 404 requirements,
Regulation S-X and S-K, with a record of increased responsibility assessing and implementing financial controls and reporting.
Hands on knowledge and experience utilizing and implementing major accounting software systems (SL, SAP, JD Edwards).
Proven track record of leading, coaching, and building positive, collaborative relationships.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliverables within an entrepreneurial work setting.
Valid Drivers License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
Travel may be required.
