New opportunities for Controls Engineers to join Ameresco’s highly experienced and talented Renewable Energy Engineering Team developing and supporting projects throughout the United States.   These positions will support control system design, development, and commissioning for new plants and troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades for operating facilities.  Positions based out of Charlotte, NC, Framingham, MA, Portland, ME, and Greenville, SC.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist Engineering staff in the development of renewable projects (LFGTE) throughout North America.
Implement control strategies and Plant Operator interface programming for new facilities.
Manage relationships with control panel fabrication contractors.
Perform loop check, test, and commission new plant controls.
Train operations staff on plant control system.
Document new plant as-built control systems architecture.
Support Operations group with instrumentation and control systems troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, regulatory and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
Cultivate and maintain positive business relationships.
Perform other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering and/or training plus minimum 3 years’ industrial controls construction and startup experience. 
Experience programming for real-time environments - Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
Prior Controller and Operator interface programming experience with a solid understanding of industrial equipment and instrumentation operations. 
Experience with Power generation equipment and AutoCAD 2D preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and complete assignments
Excellent organization skills including ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal, written, computer communication and technical presentation skills.
Valid Driver’s License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
May require flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs
May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
Travel required.
