Description

Join us and become Senior Contract Manager or Contract Manager in the Procurement department handling the overall procurement and management of large-scale wind projects.

Together with your colleagues in the department, you will be in the front line when we underpin our business strategy and participate in projects on strategic multi-contract procurement processes. You will be joining a department with a strong professional environment, and you will have more than 50 committed colleagues based either in Denmark or abroad.

You may choose freely to be based at our Danish office in either Gentofte in Copenhagen or Skærbæk near Fredericia. You should, however, expect some travelling in relation to your work.

Areas of responsibility
In cooperation with relevant stakeholders, you will plan and implement tenders, procurement solutions and negotiations, among other things in relation to foundations, cables for transformers, installation and construction as well as wind turbines.

Depending on your experience, you will either be independently responsible for specific procurement processes, or you will cooperate with your colleagues on strategic procurement and multi-contracting tasks in relation to complex, billion-dollar procurement processes. In addition, you will also be responsible for commercial contract management of the contracts during the construction phase of large-scale wind farms.

You will underpin business activities by contributing with your expertise on negotiation and contract administration in order to ensure that our solutions are based on best practice and lessons learnt.

In close dialogue with internal stakeholders, you will also ensure that contracts match our requirements for legal, insurance and environmental matters as well as matters within safety and risk management.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

  • perform market screenings and analysis of suppliers
  • lay down contract and procurement strategies for projects based on group policy and strategy
  • prepare procurement packages and participate in procurement activities through all project phases
  • negotiate with international suppliers
  • follow up on contracts, participate in coordination and manage variation orders, claims and reporting during the execution phase.

In addition, you will cooperate efficiently with colleagues from other in-house functions, eg in relation to legal and HSE matters.

Your profile
You will have a relevant cross-disciplinary background, eg based on a Master’s Degree in Economics, Law or Engineering.

Furthermore, you will have several years of experience with procurement or sales, tenders and contract management, preferably from construction projects.

It is essential that you have knowledge of construction contracts, preferably FIDIC, and EPC projects. In addition, you will be able to document excellent negotiation skills.

You will also have knowledge of sourcing and procurement directives, preferably EU procurement law, or you will be prepared to participate in intensive training.

As we are an international company and cooperate closely with our colleagues abroad, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently.

It is important that you have personal drive and are able to cooperate efficiently with business partners and colleagues at all levels of a large organisation. You will have distinct business acumen, enabling you to develop strategies and implement optimum solutions.

Moreover, you will have a proactive approach to your tasks, which you will competently be able to manage and complete. You will have a structured and analytical approach to your work, enabling you to manoeuvre and deliver business critical projects successfully.

We offer
A job in a dynamic and international organisation focusing on delegating substantial freedom with responsibility to you as employee.

You will have unique opportunities to further develop your procurement competences in an international environment nurtured by the company. Together with your colleagues in the department, you will contribute to the development of valuable networks within procurement and across the organisation.

We offer you attractive employment conditions, good educational opportunities and have an active employee policy, which supports your career throughout the various phases of your working life.
