Contract and Grants Intern Part-Time

Minimum Commitment:

4 to 6 months, 8 – 10 hours/week

 

The Rainforest Alliance works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods by transforming land-use practices, business practices and consumer behavior.  Our 20 member development team is responsible for raising financial and philanthropic support for the Rainforest Alliance’s conservation programs around the world, a portion of which is raised from corporate and individual giving for special events. 

Scope of Internship:

The Rainforest Alliance is looking for a part-time intern for the Washington DC office.  This internship opportunity will fall under the Contracts and Grants Administration department. The primary responsibilities include implementing two different knowledge management projects: 1. Assisting in building and verifying a Salesforce cloud database; 2. Assisting in the design, building, and implementation of a Sharepoint intranet web page. Ongoing assistance will be requested with database maintenance. Additional administrative duties will be requested as needed.

 

The position will offer the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an office setting, develop knowledge management skills, and provide the opportunity to be a project manager for a knowledge management project. 

 

Qualifications:

Strong multitasking abilities, keen attention to detail, and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is necessary; SharePoint or Salesforce knowledge a plus. 

 

The ideal candidate will be an undergraduate student working towards a bachelor’s degree in business administration, knowledge management, or IT.  Students receiving academic credit for an internship is preferred.

 

Note: This is an unpaid internship
