Introduction

Our client are a leading company in the Consulting & Engineering industry with world class expertise in energy, highways & roads, light rail, sustainable buildings and water.They are now seeking a Contaminated Land Consultant to join their team in Bristol

Important

Previous experience of working with an Environmental Consultancy.

The Job

  • Providing geo-environmental consultancy services by undertaking both office and site based work.

  • Work in close collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines as required.

  • Prepare and undertake geo-environmental reports and validation reports. Provide assistance with geo- environmental investigations.

  • Site supervision and routine monitoring during site investigations and construction programmes.

  • Develop the ability to undertake financial management of projects.

  • Develop and enhance existing skills in geo-environmental investigations. Develop and enhance skills in design aspects of contaminated land investigation.

  • Develop and enhance skills in Qualitative and Quantitative risk assessment.

  • Develop understanding of relevant British Standards and other relevant design guides.

  • Involvement in the provision of consultancy services to developers and other clients with land portfolios or their representatives.

  • Participate in the preparation/presentation of proposals/bids as required including estimating timescales and costs for proposed works.

  • Assist in general marketing on behalf of the Company and develop customer relationships.

Qualifications required:

  • Qualified to degree level, preferably to MSc level in a relevant environmental science.

  • Working towards attaining Chartership status with an appropriate professional body.
