Description

This is a 1 year position, which will support work on our consumer behavioural change programme (and be co-located with the Coordinator for this work in Hong Kong), as follows;

  • Organize and support TRAFFIC’s convening of strategic expertise on behaviour change. Use the insights arising to consolidate and communicate the evidence base for strategic approaches to change behaviour in key target groups. TRAFFIC is currently delivering several behavioural change research project activities. The findings will inform the development of a suite of information resources, technical reference materials, good practice guides and decision making tools, as well as input into and discussion at Collaborative Action Planning and other workshops between diverse stakeholders. Driving forward the design of content and follow-up from these workshops will be a core part of the responsibilities of the programme officer.
  • Helping to strengthen the implementation of projects on the ground: Collaborating closely with TRAFFIC and WWF teams in Asia and beyond, in order to embed the principles and good practice examples emerging through the research project activities referenced above, within projects being implemented on the ground in Asia.

Helping to prepare communication materials and reports associated with TRAFFIC’s work on consumer behavioural change, as part of a wider initiative on wildlife crime between TRAFFIC and WWF, and other partners, as well as support broader aspects of the development of TRAFFIC’s Consumer Behavioural Change programme

The Programme Officer will be expected to drive forward delivery of these outputs under the overall direction of the Consumer Behavioural Change Coordinator.

To express an interest in this role, please send a cover letter and CV, summarising your interest, suitability and relevant past experience, by email to Gayle Burgessgayle.burgess@traffic.org before the 3rd January, 2016.
