Consulting Utility Forester

A Consulting Utility Forester notifies property owners of line clearance work to be performed, obtains necessary permits from public agencies, performs pre-inspection in advance of work, checks trees for hazard or danger potential, and documents information for utility's vegetation management program.

Qualified applicants must have the ability to read maps, identify tree species, work independently with limited supervision, problem-solve, show attention to detail, demonstrate public relations/interpersonal skills, work in rugged terrain, adapt to change, and have basic computer skills. Inventory or surveying experience is a plus. Degree in Forestry or related field desired, experience in Forestry, Arboriculture, Horticulture a plus, ISA Certified Arborist certification a plus. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. All candidates must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
