Consulting Utility Forester

A Consulting Utility Forester notifies property owners of line clearance work to be performed, obtains necessary permits from public agencies, performs pre-inspection in advance of work, checks trees for hazard or danger potential, and documents information for utility's vegetation management program.

Qualifications: Must have the ability to read maps, identify tree species, work independently with limited supervision, problem-solve, show attention to detail, demonstrate public relations/interpersonal skills, work in rugged terrain, adapt to change, and have basic computer skills. Inventory or surveying experience is a plus. Degree in Forestry or related field desired, experience in Forestry, Arboriculture, Horticulture a plus, ISA Certified Arborist certification a plus. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. All candidates must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
