Description

3Keel is a small, specialist sustainability consultancy. We have grown organically since being founded in 2013, becoming a high impact team. The business is structured to address key sustainability issues, and we focus on innovations and coalition-building to develop approaches that challenge the status quo. 3Keel is a certified B Corp, and voted through the FT awards as one of the top Management Consultants for Sustainability. We are now looking to expand our team, and are seeking exceptional candidates who align with our values and believe in the work that we do.

We are seeking a Consultant to expand our Landscape Innovation practice area and to contribute to our growing team.

The role will support senior team members, by contributing to work on our growing LENs (Landscape Enterprise Networks) approach, which develops integrated, place-based marketplaces for ecosystem functions.  This consultant role will also provide support to other projects within the practice area, gaining a broad overview of 3Keel’s approach to landscapes and sustainability.

Successful candidates will ideally have a good understanding of how landscapes function as well as a knowledge and/or practical experience of land management for food production (arable/livestock, upland/lowland productive systems), and for other functions (e.g. natural flood management, carbon sequestration).

The role lends itself to remote working, something 3Keel embraces as part of our progressive working culture, and of course, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, with the changes this has brought about. That said, some office presence in our Oxfordshire headquarters is to be expected in the future, alongside a willingness to travel within the UK and Europe.

LENs has well-established programmes across the UK, transacting several million pounds per year and has major programmes in development in Italy and Hungary. More information and technical details can be found on the LENs website.

By joining 3Keel you will be working with one of the leading consultancies supporting organisations and institutions to address landscape issues. Your presence will help us to expand what we do and to have an even greater impact.

Case studies with more about some of our past work can be found here: http://www.3keel.com/case-studies/

This role is permanent, with the option for it to be full or part time depending on the candidate’s personal situation and in line with our goal to be an inclusive, flexible employer.  Please specify your requirements in your application.

  • Experience of working with or in different stakeholder partnerships and a practical understanding of how good partnerships develop

Working at 3Keel

3Keel was established to provide a fun, fulfilling and flexible working experience.  We are a certified B Corp and offer many benefits to our staff in exchange for their work and commitment.  These include generous salaries, and time off (24 days/year in addition to bank holidays and paid time off between Christmas and New Year, pro rata), flexibility with regard to working arrangements to suit your personal circumstances, health and life insurance, budgets for training, and above statutory offerings with regard to sickness, maternity/paternity benefits etc – to name but a few. We also pay bonuses subject to business performance and staff contributions, which typically range 10 - 20% of salary.

3Keel was voted by our peers as one of the UK’s Leading Management Consultants for Sustainability in the Financial Times in 2019.  In 2020 we achieved this accolade again, achieving Silver ranking.  In 2021 we have reached new levels of excellence in our field, achieving Gold ranking, and taking our seat  alongside mostly global consulting firms.  Overall, not bad for a small, relatively new business! https://www.3keel.com/ft-award-2021/
