In the course of the mid-term evaluation of the Project in January of 2009 it was recommended to undertake a specialized assessment of the project activity in developing and implementing plan of actions to conserve the genetic resources of the wild fruit forests. Such an assessment will enhance further improvement of the specific plan of actions subject to certain adjustments to ensure better planning based on the international best practices. This technical expertise of the project activities in the field of genetic resource conservation is budgeted in the Work Plan and the Budget for 2009
Duties and Responsibilities
The expert’s findings are presented either in person or/and by mail. The final deliverables submitted by the expert are considered within 7 working days;
The expert is reportable to the NMP and agrees with the NPM all his actions;
The expert works in a close cooperation with the experts in agro-bio diversity and eco-system management
Competencies
Experience in evaluating the GEP projects implemented for conservation of the flora genetic resources, as well as in providing trainings;
Experience in cooperating with international scientific and resources institutions/organizations specialized in agro-bio diversity conservation;
Availability to undertake the field visits;
PC user basic skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, e-mail, etc.).
