Consultant Energy

The Built Environment Netherlands unit helps various stakeholders in the building sector, such as housing corporations, municipalities, property developers and architects to plan, design and construct the energy infrastructure and apply innovative energy concepts and techniques.

To achieve low energy buildings and areas for residential and commercial sites, we provide services such as masterplans, feasibility studies and business cases for a renewable energy system. We participate in high level development of labels and tools for evaluation of energy performance of buildings and areas such as BREEAM. We advise parties in the buildings chain on strategy and policy developments on both national and EU level.

We are looking for a commercially oriented consultant who thrives on responding to new developments in the market and translating these developments into commercial proposals.

Using your broad and substantial knowledge of sustainable energy and energy conservation for the built environment, you will advise our clients on their strategic directions and positioning in the market of the built environment. You will assist them with their challenging policy and business developments.
Through your networking you will acquire new assignments.

Together with your colleagues you are going to identify and create opportunities, using both your knowledge and creativity together with clients and funding to work on realistic projects.

You will often act as a project leader on (international) projects in which you will achieve the best possible sustainable solutions for our clients.

Your profile
If you are enthusiastic about the job described above and you meet the following criteria, then we would be happy to meet you!

• An academic background in preferably the natural sciences or engineering , combined with a sound knowledge of (business) economy
• 3-5 years professional experience in the building or energy sector
• Entrepreneurial attitude and commercial experience
• Good project management skills
• Excellent oral and written command of Dutch and English.
