7436 Senior Ecologist (Bat Specialist) – Basingstoke

With a broad range of capability you will also be focussed on bat ecology.

¦      Proven surveying skills, extended phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species survey experience;

¦      Experience of protected species licensing process and ideally hold one or more protected species licence(s);

¦      Sound knowledge and experience in Ecological Impact Assessment and/or ecological mitigation projects;

¦      Sound knowledge of UK & European wildlife legislation particularly relating to commonly occurring protected species and species of high conservation importance

You will have solid field and identification skills associated with habitat and European Protected Species surveying.  Ideally you will have some experience in impact assessment and reporting and customer care but above all will be enthusiastic, confident and motivated to apply good communication skills and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

8359 Principal/Associate Ecologist - Bristol (Basingstoke also considered). 

You will be devising and managing survey programmes, cost-effective mitigation and additionally able to supervise implementation on-site. You will have experience across a diverse suite of UK habitats and protected species (including relevant licences) and a proven record of supporting clients through devising and managing survey programmes, the development of cost-effective mitigation and its agreement with regulators and additionally able to supervise implementation on-site. Ideally your experience would encompass transport infrastructure projects with knowledge of DMRB and GRIP processes but we also have a large portfolio of built development related projects to support.

8423 Consultant and Senior Site Ecologists – Edinburgh (Glasgow also considered). 

You will be supporting on-site construction activity and will ideally have some prior site supervision / ecological clerk of works experience. The ideal candidate will have the following capabilities:

¦      Site-supervision skills, extended phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species survey experience.

¦      Experience of discharging planning conditions and liaising with construction teams;

¦      Sound knowledge of UK & European wildlife legislation particularly relating to commonly occurring protected species and species of high conservation importance;

¦      Excellent report writing skills;

¦      Proven project management and time management skills; and

¦      Experience of managing and liaising with clients and stakeholders.
