Consultancy Contract: Education for Sustainable Development in the Western Balkans

Call for expression of interest on the part of experts and companies for providing short-term consultancy services in the implementation of the project:

“Education for Sustainable Development in the Western Balkans”

The project is being implemented with the financial assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland. The first phase of the project is being realised in 2009 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia.

One of the main goals of the project is to support local communities and schools to work jointly towards sustainable development. Local communities and schools that will be involved in the project are located in the Drina River basin.

Experts eligible to submit expressions of interest should have at least a university degree, highly developed English language skills and a minimum of five years’ relevant experience in the following fields:

• Local sustainable development and planning
• Local sustainable development strategies
• Education for sustainable development
• Educational reforms in the sector of primary education

Expressions of interest must contain a letter of interest and the CV of the interested expert in English, including contact details, information on educational background and professional experience, and a comprehensive bibliography of papers published in the last five years.

The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is July 31, 2009.
