Job Description:
The Conservation Research Center of Teton Science Schools is seeking a research intern to support a mule deer ecology study in northwest Wyoming. Research goals include delineation of short-distance migration corridors; improved understanding of mule deer responses to roadways and human development; and development of spatially-explicit winter habitat-use models. The research intern will assist with field work and data entry. Specific duties include radio-telemetry, behavioral observations, vegetation measurement, data entry (GIS and excel) and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
• BS in wildlife ecology, natural resource management or related field
• Experience with field work and navigation
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Wilderness First Aid certified (required)
