Position: Land Manager Duties: Successful candidate will have experience handling livestock, irrigating pasturelands and controlling weeds. The Land Manager will work with the Conservation Research Center to ensure Teton Science Schools lands are being managed to meet the best conservation standards. The Land Manager will be responsible for implementing weed management practices, working with student groups on conservation projects, installing and maintaining electric and barbed-wire fence, and moving livestock according to an established grazing plan. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, hands-on experience in an agriculture system, the ability to multitask and a demonstrated ability to solve problems. Requirements include: Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Range Science or related field OR 5+ years of experience in an agricultural operation, basic mechanical skills, an interest in conservation, ability to problem-solve, self-starter/self-motivated, positive attitude, experience in monitoring rangelands and attention to detail.
