Compensation: $2,000/month stipend plus travel expenses

Description:
The Conservation Research Center of Teton Science Schools is accepting applications for Water Quality Monitoring interns to be located at WY Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) field offices in Cheyenne and Sheridan, Wyoming. One intern in each location will assist DEQ staff in conducting watershed monitoring and evaluation. This is a great opportunity to acquire professional experience in an environmental field. Internship will require day and overnight travel to field sites. Anticipate a 40-50 hour work week. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Start and end dates may be flexible.

Qualifications:

• Able to hike/walk in rugged terrain with a variety of weather conditions
• Any combination of training/experience equivalent to a BS in environmental engineering, geology, hydrology, chemistry, range management, biology, soil science, or related fields 
• Knowledge of basic principles of GIS, water quality, aquatic biology, and surveying are beneficial but not required

• Assist with watershed monitoring and evaluation
• Travel to field sites to conduct work
• Other duties as assigned
