Annual Salary Minimum: $32,418.30
Annual Salary Maximum: $56,724.24

Duties & Responsibilities: Interprets and enforces the state laws, rules and regulations provided for the conservation and protection of natural resources. This is the entry/training level of the Conservation and Wildlife job series. Incumbents at this level may require additional training or experience to gain full proficiency in some or all of the job responsibilities.

Minimum Training & Experience: Completion of an associate's degree from an accredited college or university.
OR
Completion of 90 quarter or 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants with an associate's degree or higher with a major in a related field (i.e.Wildlife Resources, Criminal Justice, Natural Sciences, or Forestry) from an accredited college or university OR applicants possessing relevant knowledge and\or experience in natural resources as it related to the functions of the Department of Natural Resources.

Exam & Evaluation Information: A written test is required. The test will be offered in Atlanta at the State Personnel Administration office (Room 404, West Tower, Floyd Building - across from the State Capitol) the first and third Tuesday of each month at 1:00 p.m

Please note: Applicants will not be admitted once the test session has started. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the session for check-in.

Outside Atlanta, the test is given on a ‘scheduled’ basis at regional testing centers (i.e., applicants are sent written notices providing date, time, and location of testing). To apply and request a regional test center location, applicants should complete the on-line application.

Note: The retest policy for this job is that you may take the test twice in a 12 month period with at least 6 months between consecutive tests. Test scores are automatically good for up to 12 months
