The Conservation Practitioner travels extensively as part of a two person crew mainly responsible for implementing restoration management work in many portfolio sites around southwest Michigan. Some of the duties include intensive mechanical and chemical (herbicide) invasive plant removal, seed collection and planting, capital improvements, and monitoring. He or she will also perform site preparation to conduct prescribe burns and fire effects monitoring on both native and invasive species as needed in southwest MI and throughout Michigan. This is a short-term job (six months or fewer).
