The Conservation Practitioner I participates in preserve operations, maintenance and management.  This may include one or more of the following functions:
• Maintains preserve areas frequented by the visiting public
• Removes exotic species
• Maintains tools and equipment
• Opens and closes preserve to the visiting public
• Collects and sows seeds of various native species
• Familiarity with native prairie plant species and seed collection times and procedures.
• Familiarity with invasive plant species.
