This project strives to improve the welfare of animals and conserve wild animal populations in protected areas throughout Thailand. It has several projects which are carried out by small teams of local staff and foreign volunteers. The project welcomes assistance from veterinarians, vet nurses, zoologists and biologists. Students can also participate but they must have some practical experience in the field. Volunteers with a veterinary background are likely to assist with both wild animals and stray dogs. Biologists and zoologists will likely do fieldwork towards wildlife conservation and/or behavioural studies.
The project supplies pleasant western-style living facilities (free accommodation) and local transport as well as everything needed to undertake work activities. Volunteers are responsible for covering the cost of food.
If you have any questions or want to apply please visit the Volunteer Work Thailand website and then contact host organisation directly.
