The Conservation Leadership Officer implements strategic goals for developing, maintaining and enhancing the engagement of members of the Brazil Board of Trustees, as well as organizing conservation leadership activities such as events and trips. We envision about 50% of his/her time being spent on supporting the board and 50% on other the activities. The position reports to the Brazil Country Representative with a dotted line to the Regional Director of Conservation Leadership. S/he also works closely with the two conservation program, and with the Conservancy’s Worldwide Office as need be. 1. With input from key staff and the Board Chair, work with each trustee to create a plan reflecting their interests and goals for board membership. Create and manage the implementation of a personalized action plan to achieve these goals. 2. With the philanthropy relationship manager, support the fundraising engagement of trustees along with their other objectives. 3. Manage the operations of the board of trustees. Ensure that the Brazil Board follows TNC’s “Trustees Roles and Minimum Standards” and in integrated into TNC-wide trustee initiatives. 4.
