The Conservation Information Manager will provide technical and scientific support in the development of GIS maps and map layers, as related to The Nature Conservancy’s conservation program. Specifically, s/he will work as a member of a team assembling disparate data and creating files, doing raster analysis, and creating final maps showing threat levels (e.g. from growing transportation infrastructure or other development) to areas that provide habitat for one or more federally listed species. This information may be used for a variety of different purposes, including prioritizing the use of private and public funding toward conservation of habitat at greatest risk. There occasionally may be travel with staff to project locations to complete habitat site assessments that will support planning and GIS results. The position is located in the Dublin, Ohio and is currently funded by grants for one year.
