Description

JNCC and the University of Cambridge have a joint opportunity for a postdoctoral research associate to work on a marine synopsis for the Conservation Evidence project.

The post-holder will work as part of Prof. Bill Sutherland’s Conservation Evidence Team (http://conservationevidence.com/) within the Conservation Science Group, University of Cambridge. They will undertake a comprehensive and systematic review of scientific evidence on the effectiveness of interventions for the conservation of marine biodiversity and the abiotic environment. The synopsis of evidence will, in common with other synopses, be made freely available in a format that is accessible to conservation practitioners and policy makers.  This accessibility will enable those in policy development and assessment, and working at the science-policy interface to make best use of research.

The post-holder will gain insight and involvement in science-policy work at JNCC aided by partial-co-location between the JNCC offices in Peterborough and Conservation Evidence group in the David Attenborough Building, Cambridge.
