Our client is a progressive waste management company who is striving to meet modern day needs. This appointment is seen as key to help consolidate the company’s standing in the industry. You will ensure all waste disposal, waste treatment, and waste transfer stations are fully compliant with all Environmental Agency and Health & Safety Executive regulations. This will involve compiling requests for new permits and permit variation submissions, conducting waste audits at company and client sites, and establishing and maintaining a database of legislative requirements for the treatment and disposal of wastes generated by the providers of healthcare. You will also provide training, as well as preparing monthly reports on environmental performance and assisting in aspects of environmental compliance for the company’s clients. You will need to demonstrate a full understanding of permit regulations within the healthcare waste industry, along with being an excellent relationship builder and presenter. Extensive travelling is a fundamental part of this role. You can be positioned anywhere in the UK, however the most northerly plant is near Manchester and most southerly near Swindon.
