Compliance Manager – Business Improvement Unit

Accreditation Services International (ASI)

ASI is the leading international accreditation body offering third party accreditation for voluntary certification schemes. ASI built its reputation managing the accreditation program of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), and since 2006, the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and other certification schemes worldwide. ASI is located in Bonn, Germany.

The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that ASI maintains the credible implementation of standards on behalf of scheme owners and leads compliance efforts on a case by case basis.

To be successful in the job, you will need expert knowledge in fishery or forestry management / assessment / sustainability / accreditation and/or certification. Good professional knowledge of fishery or forestry supply chains is also needed.

Excellent communication skills in English are essential. German, Spanish, and / or French are also needed. Other languages are an asset for this position. Mediation and or conflict resolution skills and training would be an advantage, as would a background in quality and/or environmental management systems (ISO 9000, ISO 14000).
