Department: Woodland Operations Reporting to: Project Manager (Woodland Creation) Salary: £14,000 - £15,000 pro rata Based: Grantham Position: Fixed term contract (18 months). Part time (3 days per week) Closing Date: Sunday 22nd May 2011 The Woodland Trust has set itself ambitious targets in both woodland creation and community engagement. Community tree packs are designed to help inspire community groups to come together to plant native trees in the shared spaces of their local area. In autumn 2011, the Trust has an ambitious target of enabling 1,000 communities to plant tree packs across the UK, and 2,500 packs in 2012. This is a new initiative, in only its second year, with scope for exciting new developments. The Community Tree Pack Co-ordinator will be part of the Central Woodland Creation Team which itself sits within the Woodland Operations Department of the Trust. The role will be key in supporting the Trust in delivering its community tree pack ambitions by supporting community groups in every stage of the process, from applying to planting This post will be based at the Trust’s head offices in Grantham, South Lincolnshire and managed by the Project Manager (Woodland Creation).
