The intern’s main responsibilities include:
- various administrative duties including data processing, coordinating with organizations and tracking signups
- helping to promote the Philadelphia Recycling Rewards Program and Recyclebank at events and community meetings
- researching data on a variety of stakeholders, such as community, environmental and religious organizations, that would be helpful in Recyclebank’s efforts to promote recycling and trash reduction in Philadelphia
- providing process improvement feedback to Recyclebank on members’ experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Have a good understanding of the neighborhoods in Philadelphia
- Strong internet research skills
- Passionate about community outreach and have an active interest in recycling
- Solid communication skills
- Reliable, independent worker
- Available to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend hours
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Some design experience
