The Community Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily management of Recyclebank's ambassador network which will consist of thousands of Recyclebank's most engaged members and advocates. The community will be used by multiple internal stakeholders including revenue/rewards, marketing, product, and data/insights for the purposes of advocacy, marketing and product innovation and insights. Key oversight includes managing member engagement and developing and implementing content. Additional duties include supporting the marketing team on other community moderation and content needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily management of Recyclebank’s ambassador network using Jive software
- Gather community needs from internal stakeholders and develop engagement strategies for different segments of the community including advocacy-based initiatives to spread the word about Recyclebank’s partnerships, surveys to uncover member insights, and marketing and product testing initiatives to further Recyclebank’s messaging and products
- Work closely with Sr. Manager, Product Marketing to develop strategic plan and content calendar for the ambassador network; copywrite and implement community content with directional input from internal stakeholders
- Track basic community metrics to ensure active participation within the community
- Manage incentive framework for rewarding and recognizing community members’ participation
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist in the moderation and approval of member-generated content on Recyclebank’s Live Green blog
- Assist with the content development and implementation of the 50 State Challenge promotion which will run from July through December 2012
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications or related field
- 2-3 years of experience administering community-based software and an understanding of community tools such as chat rooms, blogs, social networking site
- Strong writing, oral and organizational skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills
