The Role:

Hampshire County Council is recruiting a Community Engagement Ranger within the Countryside Service. Joining an Area Access Team, you will develop, coordinate and support a programme of activities on public rights of way, areas of open country and other forms of public access to the countryside. You will be expected to develop partnerships and build opportunities for local communities and user groups to improve access to the countryside. With significant experience of public engagement in a countryside related discipline, you will hold a full driving license and use of a vehicle and be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the role.

You'll also be expected to proactively prepare and contribute to an agreed programme of work across the county, having a flexible approach to work both as part of a team and independently. This will involve working on practical tasks with the access ranger teams.
