Communications Officer

Salary circa £23,000-£27,000 (FTE depending on experience) + excellent benefits.

This role works closely with the Head of Communications in all aspects of our promotion and publicity. The role includes media liaison, promotional - particularly online - activity, materials, events, business development and administrative support.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business. This role is based in Bristol, part time (3-4 days) and permanent.

You will be accountable for:

• Assisting with the planning, implementing and measuring of the success of national, regional and trade media activity on time and on budget
• Building a network of relationships with key media contacts and social media influencers generating consistent, quality media coverage (online, print, broadcast) in support of our retail banking objectives
• Writing and distributing sell-in of media releases and other copy
• Developing and maintain database of up-to-date, segmented media for future distribution
• Producing E-newsletters as required by the Bank's business units
• Continuously monitoring and providing information on competitor, industry and regulatory activity, suggesting opportunities to increase the Bank's profile where appropriate
• Working with the Head of Communications to monitor and manage any agency support, its effectiveness and value
• Helping represent Triodos Bank at external events, including public presentations to a professional standard
• Writing opinion pieces and a range of tailored articles for the specialist media, including letters to key newspapers

We are looking for someone that has:

• Worked within marketing or communications for a minimum of two years or studied a relevant qualification
• Developed and maintained stakeholder relationships with journalists and agencies
• Clear and effective written and spoken communication skills and be able to represent us in a professional manner to external contacts and clients.
