SEI seeks an energetic, versatile, intellectually curious, highly collaborative communications professional to work with staff across the U.S. Center, as well as with colleagues worldwide. As noted below, the job is multi-faceted, involving a mix of journalistic writing, short-form policy writing, light editing, public relations, web and social media – and often juggling multiple projects at once.

SEI communications staff work closely with researchers to plan projects, shape messages, identify compelling stories, and share those stories and messages with diverse audiences, often collaborating over several months or years on a single project. While this job is U.S.-based, it will involve projects around the world, as well as opportunities to collaborate with SEI's centers in Europe, Africa and Asia.

This position will report to the SEI-US Center Director and work closely with a Senior Communications Officer based at SEI-US, and also engage directly with the SEI Communications Director. Beyond the core responsibilities listed below, additional responsibilities and opportunities for engagement will be tailored to the chosen candidate’s skills, and may further evolve over time.
