Responsibilities
The Communication Officer (Outreach) is located in the Communications and Media Relations
(CMR) Unit and reports to the Manager, Communications and Media Relations. The incumbent ensures
implementation of information activities to publicize of UNFCCC activities and events. As such, the
incumbent undertakes research and analysis, information gathering and consultation, drafting and
editing. S/he supports the Executive Secretary and the UNFCCC secretariat through the Manager CMR
in the development and implementation of the secretariat?s annual communications strategy.
