ABOUT THE ROLE
The Climate Group is seeking a highly motivated Communications Officer. Reporting to the India Director and working very closely with the International communications team, the role presents a fantastic opportunity to work on communications in a successful NGO.
The role will include but not be limited to:
? Responsibility of producing documentation for significant India based meetings and workshop.
? Assisting in organising events and ensuring the relating publications are produced in a timely manner.
? Supporting the team in bringing out appropriate press releases and organizing press conferences as required.
? Working with the web team to maintain and manage the India content of the website.
ABOUT YOU
? Post graduate Degree in Communications/Journalism or a degree in social science along with professional work experience in managing the development communications for at least 3-5 years and knowledge and experience in updating a website.
? Excellent spoken and written English with general ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form; specific skills in writing press releases and articles/stories for print and electronic media.
? Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with media houses.
? Knowledge of computer systems and applications, specifically interactive digital media.
? Flexibility to take on other tasks as required by the organisation and willingness to travel if and when required.
