Since 1985, the Center for Clean Air Policy (CCAP) has been a recognized world leader in climate and air quality policy and is the only independent, nonprofit think tank working exclusively on those issues at the local, U.S. national and international levels. Its mission is to significantly advance cost-effective and pragmatic air-quality and climate policy through analysis, dialogue and education to reach a broad range of policy-makers and stakeholders worldwide. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., CCAP helps policy-makers around the world develop, promote and implement innovative, market-based solutions to major climate, air-quality and energy problems that balance both environmental and economic interests. More information about CCAP can be found at www.ccap.org Position overview The Communications Officer will help develop and implement the strategy for all communications, including the web site, blogs, policy reports and briefings, events, media outreach, and constituent outreach. The communications officer will work closely with senior policy and program staff within CCAP to help motivate, edit and shape external communications materials. The materials should position CCAP as an innovator in climate policy; distinguish CCAP from others working in the field; and inform and engage key stakeholders. Expected salary range is 55,000 – 70,000 USD per annum depending on the position and the individual’s qualifications. Key responsibilities Messaging and Materials development
