Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on one of the world’s most pressing issues: food, for one of the world’s leading environmental NGO’s: Greenpeace. The relentless industrialisation of agriculture is causing increasing damage to the environment on a global scale, undermining our ability to produce food which is healthy for people and the planet in the longer term. We believe that there is an urgent need to address both the quality and quantity of what is produced in order to feed everyone sustainably (through ecological farming) and equitably, giving special attention to countries, regions and continents where the majority of people live and where it will have the biggest impact.

Hence, we are looking for an experienced communications professional to lead Greenpeace’s sustainable agriculture communications, based out of our international centre in Amsterdam.

Our ideal candidate will have the following abilities & experience (in addition to the standard Communications Manager job spec):

• Strong communications, PR or media relations experience combined with good working knowledge of web/social media and overall creative communications development.
• The ability to think and work at a global level. Professional experience in Asia would be preferable.
