Description

CDP is seeking a Communications Executive to work on a part time contract, supporting its global communications efforts. Reporting to the Communications Director with the opportunity to work with multiple teams across CDP, this candidate will be based in its London headquarters.

Main responsibilities

  • Helping maximise media coverage of news coming out of CDP and proactively generating new media opportunities
  • Helping to raise awareness through media and other tactics of the Climate Disclosure Standards Board, a special project of CDP
  • Developing content for articles, blogs and marketing collateral
  • Contributing to website content
  • Coordinating CDP and CDSB news globally with country offices and partners
  • Finding new opportunities for speaking platforms, industry awards
  • Helping to deliver CDP’s investor relations strategy

Requirements

The right candidate will have a minimum of three to four years experience in PR, corporate communications or investor relations. Strong media relations experience is essential with demonstrable skill in placing media coverage and thinking creatively.

This is a unique opportunity to develop skills and experience in a dynamic and fast growing business facing charity. The successful candidate will be a self starter with strong interpersonal skills, excellent copy writing skills and some experience in dealing with the financial sector.

This will be a 4 day a week freelance contract at £140 a day for eight to nine months, but there is opportunity for this to turn into a full time permanent role next year.
