Role Summary

As an intern with Forum for the Future Asia Pacific, you would benefit from exposure to Forum’s work, networks, and people. You will be part of a small and collaborative team, working to convey our impact and our ambition for the region by interfacing with our broader network. The role will include the opportunity to enhance the functionality of our Futures Centre, an online platform for understanding change and identifying pathways to a sustainable future. You will be supervised by the Content and Community Manager, Futures Centre.

The successful applicant would broadly be responsible for the following:

  • Web development for the Futures Centre, working closely with the Content and Community Manager and a development team to improve user experience.
  • Support Forum’s publicity and community engagement event taking place in March - event invitations, media engagement, event logistics and quality control.
  • Other administrative tasks as and when required.

The successful candidate is likely to have:

  • An interest in sustainability
  • An interest in UX web design
  • Experience in a web development support role
  • Some experience in event coordination
  • Some experience in research with an understanding of trends
  • Familiarity with data entry and using databases

Work arrangements

  • This internship is part-time and covers 3 days a week (7.5 hours a day) over 3-4 months.
  • While work arrangements are flexible and negotiable with your line manager, Forum strongly encourages office attendance to facilitate communication and relationship-building.
  • This is an unpaid internship. Lunch and travel expenses of up to S$10 a day can be claimed.

Closing date: 5pm SGT, Wednesday 13 January 2016

Interview date: 18 to 21 January 2016

Start date: 25 January 2016 (exact date negotiable).
