Communications and Development Intern

he Development and Communications intern will report directly to the Development and Communications Associate, and will assist with department functions as needed.

Requirements: Creative, self-motivated, technically savvy, and must be able to commit at least 16 hours a week through May 14, 2010. Applicants must be fluent in English, with superb writing skills and a familiarity with social media.  Knowledge of HTML is recommended, but not required.

This internship requires a lot of creativity and affords much flexibility. We’re looking for a highly energetic and motivated individual to help us attack some or all of the following projects:

• Connect with the blogging community and get our voice out there!
• Create a solid links exchange program with traditional and untraditional allies.
• Expand our presence in online communities like Facebook and Twitter.
• Bump up our multi-media on website with blogs, podcasts, google earth, etc.
• Make use of photo and video add-ons to our website, newsletter, blog, etc.
• Assist in various development tasks, including event planning and execution.

This is an unpaid internship.  We are happy to work with students interning for college credit.
