The Communications and Campaigns Officer will develop and strengthen networks relating to the Senator’s key portfolios, develop and support ongoing community campaigns, ensure that the electorate and the Greens party members and supporters, including other Green elected representatives, are informed of the work of the Senator and liaise with the Media Adviser to communicate the work and achievements of the Senator.
The person appointed may be required to represent the Senator at functions, community meetings and public engagements from time to time.
A commencing salary between $42,662 - $49,856 plus an allowance of up to $6,749 in lieu of overtime is payable.
(Note that a 3% salary increase for these positions is due at the end of April.)
A probationary period of 3 months applies to all positions, with an option to extend by a maximum of 2 months.
This position commences on July 1st, 2011.
