Communications & Engagement Manager

Defra Grade HEO, permanent contract Salary range £25,991 - £30,496 (National scale)

Reporting to the Head of SDC Northern Ireland, you will work closely with SDC communications and engagement colleagues across the UK to ensure that all aspects of our work are effectively communicated to stakeholders. You understand sustainable development, have a creative approach and can demonstrate a strong track record in communications.

You will have particular responsibility for:

• Developing and implementing a communications and engagement strategy
• Managing press and media relations
• Website & event management
• Providing evidence based advice on best practice in public engagement
• Researching good practice case studies Our ideal candidate will understand the institutions of government in Northern Ireland and have a knowledge of public engagement processes.
