Commissioning Manager, South Korea

My client is a part of one of the worlds largest companies in the world. They have a market presence across a wide range of sectors and is a major player in the international market. They are developing new technology to rival their main competitors in the wind industry and are looking to ensure that they secure the best talent in order to achieve this.

Position Overview:

You will provide technical leadership in the commissioning of wind turbines managing client requirements, standards and procedures. You will coordinate with the commissioning and offshore basic design team and report to the head of Commissioning and wind production.

Key Responsibilities

• ·         Manage the contractual requirements of the client and lead the commissioning team to ensure that you meet these standards
• ·         Test and confirms the safety system including Pitch, Yaw, Converter and HPU.
• ·         Managing the troubleshooting of the wind turbine in the commissioning process
• ·         You will act as the team leader training junior staff and provide input to the clients standards and procedures
• ·         As the senior staff member you will communicates senior management decisions to the team and oversee their progress

 Education:

Aerospace, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree minimum.

Core Requirements:-

• •         5-10 years experience in  a reputable international company
• •         Experience working for a top ten manufacturer of wind turbines in commissioning team
• •         Knowledge of power converter, generator system and vendor/sub contract activities
• •         Experience with pitch control system and yaw control system
• •         Specialist in the design of wind turbine control logic and electrical circuit

• •         Fluent in English
• •         Exceptional management and organisations skills
• •         Ability to travel for extended periods of time
• •         Knowledge of related regulatory issues
• •         Ideally the candidate would be a member of relative professional institutions
